Let me ask you, what is the faith of the next generation worth to you?
God commanded the Israelites to gather together and have festivals to remember what He has done and promises to do.
Faith in Jesus is best discovered in community. We are disciples who live out the truth of God with the same people over time. The longer a youth group is together, the greater its influence on its members.
These moments become benchmarks for students' faith. Each year, students commit their lives to Jesus, recommit their lives to Jesus, learn to listen to the voice of God, feel conviction on where they are not listening to His voice, learn how to pray and to pray for others, and pursue God’s call for their lives.
Well worth the money. You are not spending money, you are investing in the faith of the next generation and in the future leaders of the church. Leaders and Pastors all over Ontario are praying for our children this weekend. Praying that God’s word becomes so personal and real to them that they are changed from the inside out for the rest of their lives. Volunteer leaders are paying their own way and being trained to be spiritual mentors to your child, so that they become all that they were created for.
This is far more than babysitting, music lessons and sports. If parents were to spend $20 per hour on babysitting for the same amount of time at Overflow, this event would cost between $250 and $500. Music and sports are important for a child's development, but so is their faith.
Parents can enjoy the weekend off with a little more peace and quiet.
